Welcome to the Middle Nolichucky Watershed Alliance

The Middle Nolichucky Watershed Alliance was established in 2002 as a means to protect the Nolichucky Watershed. Our office is located in Greeneville, TN and we are committed to protecting
the waters of Greene County.

Contact Us
The Middle Nolichucky Watershed Alliance protects the waters and land of Greene County through on the ground projects, providing educational opportunities for community members, and improving the economy through development projects.

We were formed because there is a need for environmental preservation in Greene County. Currently, 56 of 85 named streams in Greene County are listed on the EPA's impaired stream list. This means that more than half of the streams in Greene County are in critical need of protection. Because of this need to protect the streams of Greene County, a few committed individuals formed the Middle Nolichucky Watershed Alliance

Mission Statement

Our mission is to educate and involve the community through establishing public-private partnerships to develop and implement action plans to preserve, protect and improve the watersheds in the Middle Nolichucky Watershed.

Vision Statement

The vision of this group is to improve and protect all water resources in the Middle Nolichucky Watershed by involving people and organizations through public and private partnerships.
